The founding principles of Islam are meant for all times and all geographies. But Islamic cultures, the way Islam is experienced in daily life by various communities, can vary greatly from century to century, and from place to place.
Unlike Islamic principles, Islamic cultures evolve with the rest of the planet, reflecting new universal world norms and constantly progressing as new levels of human knowledge are sought after and acquired, as Islam insistently commands throughout the Hadeeth and the Qur’aan.
I am organizing a unique double-bill retreat and presentation on the beautiful Vancouver waterfront about BUILDING TOGETHER AN ISLAMIC CULTURE FOR THE 21ST CENTURY.

There are two shows running in the same building at the same time, one for adults, one for school kids K-12 and accompanying parents (SEE ADULTS POSTER and KIDS POSTER).As an adult you can either register for the Adults retreat or for the Kids retreat (if you want to accompany children to their shows). We have supervising adults in attendance, so if you wish you can attend the Adults show while your school children are attending the Kids show under adult supervision in the same building at the same time.
